Cambridge-Isanti Schools Director of Finance and Operations Chris Kampa has accepted the position of Chief Financial Officer at Augsburg University in Minneapolis. His last day with C-I Schools will be Friday, September 25.
Since joining the district in 2019, Chris has helped guide C-I Schools through significant financial challenges, long-range planning, referendums and facilities needs. His leadership has helped strengthen the district’s financial position, rebuild its fund balance and create greater stability for the future.
As a Cambridge-Isanti alumnus, Chris has also brought plenty of Bluejacket pride to his work. He was a strong voice in conversations about honoring district traditions, including bringing red back as a more visible part of the C-I Schools brand.
“Chris leaves C-I Schools having made a real difference,” Superintendent Dr. Nate Rudolph said. “We are grateful for his leadership, knowledge and commitment to our students, staff and community, and we are excited for him as he takes this next step.”
The district is developing a transition plan and will share more information as plans are finalized.
