Air Quality Alert Update

Cambridge-Isanti Schools is monitoring local air quality using Air Quality Index information and guidance from the Minnesota Pollution Control Agency.

The health and safety of our students, staff and community members remains our top priority. Depending on current conditions, Community Education programs, Adventure Center, athletics, and other outdoor activities may be modified, moved indoors, shortened or postponed. These decisions are made by program coordinators and coaches using current air quality conditions and state health guidance.

Our goal is to continue programming whenever it can be done safely. Because air quality can change throughout the day, decisions may also change as conditions evolve.

We also recognize that every child and family has different health needs and comfort levels. If you have concerns about your child's participation due to air quality or weather related decisions, you may choose to keep your child home or out of practice. We encourage families to make the decision that is best for their child's health, particularly for children with asthma or other respiratory conditions.

If a schedule change affects your child's program, families will be contacted directly by the program or coach or coordinator.
