Cambridge-Isanti Schools is pleased to share the finalized leadership plan for the 2026-27 school year following Dr. Jason Bodey’s transition from Assistant Superintendent of Teaching and Learning to his new role with Osseo Area Schools.

Principal Tracy Hare has accepted the interim role of Director of Teaching and Learning for the district. Principal Hare has served as principal of Cambridge Middle School for the past four years, where she has led with purpose, care, and a deep commitment to student learning and staff support.

Prior to joining the district, Principal Hare served as an assistant principal, academic coach, content director, and teacher. She brings 15 years of classroom experience and a strong background in professional development, curriculum, assessment, MTSS, PBIS, instructional coaching, and family engagement. In this new role, Principal Hare will help advance teaching and learning priorities, support continued implementation of the strategic plan, and build on the strong work already underway with the Teaching and Learning and district Leadership Teams.

Additionally, Principal Scott Peterson has accepted the interim role of principal at Cambridge Middle School for the 2026-27 school year. Principal Peterson had originally planned to retire in November, but has chosen to delay his retirement until the end of the 2026-27 school year. This decision reflects his dedication to the school community.

Principal Peterson brings 17 years of experience as principal of Cambridge Intermediate School, along with steady leadership and a strong understanding of students, families, and staff.

Principal Hare and Principal Peterson are both trusted leaders whose willingness to step into these interim roles reflects their commitment to the district and the students, staff, and families they serve.

Leadership transitions are important moments for any school district, and district leaders are approaching this transition with care and collaboration. Teams will continue working closely with staff at Cambridge Middle School, Cambridge Intermediate School, and across the district to support students and staff as they prepare for the year ahead.
