We are happy to report that on Thursday evening our final recommendation to the School Board was to keep a modified program for the 2021-22 school year with a plan to re-imagine SFAS as a STEAM Magnet for a sustainable future. The recommendation was to move SFAS to the traditional calendar and to bring class sizes up to the district average. To accomplish this task, we will need to move SFAS grades K-2 to Isanti Primary School. This will allow for more students to join the program to help balance class sizes. It also keeps SFAS primary classes and teachers together. This is currently a single-year solution, as we plan and re-imagine the future of School For All Seasons. The School Board approved this recommendation.
We recognize that these modifications are a departure from how School For All Seasons has functioned in the past, but they also allow for an opportunity to keep cohorts of students, staff, and families together as we chart a new course for the magnet program. We look forward to partnering with families and staff through this process.
