What is Link Crew?
Link Crew is a high school transition program that welcomes freshman and is designed to help them feel comfortable in the transition from middle school to high school. Link Crew members are juniors and seniors who have been trained to help freshman students succeed. The ideal Link Crew member is a positive role model, motivator, leaders, and teachers who guide their freshman group of students in order to help them become successful high school students.
What is the goal of Link Crew?
Link Crew increases freshman success; more and more studies are showing that if students have a positive experience their first year in high school, their chances for success increase exponentially. The structure that Link Crew provides for freshman is designed for freshman to receive support and guidance from juniors and seniors who have been through the challenges that high school poses, and understand that the transition to a larger school can sometimes be overwhelming.
