Strong Communities Need Strong Schools
Since January, a Community Task Force has been studying our school finances, district operations, needs for teaching and learning, and school facility use. The Task Force was a community group of 38 people who brought expertise in finance, human resources, social services, education, business, agriculture, and community. They read the District's Audit Report (It's a clean audit), worked through budget cuts, explored transportation options, and prioritized long-term facility maintenance. They came to one unanimous conclusion: the district has a review problem and a local voter-approved referendum is needed to support student learning.
