100 - School District
The purpose of this policy is to clarify the name of the school district.
The purpose of this policy is to provide some general parameters for considering the name of facilities, in order to ensure consistency.
The School District recognizes that the loss of a member of the school community has a deep impact. This procedure will serve as a guide for requests to honor these individuals with memorials or naming of School District sites and facilities. Individual rooms, areas, athletic fields or facilities within or on district property may be named to honor a specific individual or organization, or may require a name change for other reasons. Memorials, which are objects or activities to remember a deceased person or an event that resulted in death, will be allowable only upon approval as outlined in this procedure.
A primary principle of this nation is that the public welfare demands an educated and informed citizenry. The power to provide for public education is a state function vested in the state legislature and delegated to local school districts. The purpose of this policy is to clarify the legal status of the school district.
The purpose of this policy is to ensure that equal educational opportunity is provided for all students of the school district.
The school district takes seriously all concerns or complaints by students, employees, parents or other persons. If a specific complaint procedure is provided within any other policy of the school district, the specific procedure shall be followed in reference to such a complaint. These policies include, but are not limited to: 413 – Harassment and Violence, 514 – Bullying Prohibition, 521 – Student Disability Non-Discrimination, 522 – Student Sex Non-Discrimination. If a specific complaint procedure is not provided, the purpose of this policy is to provide a procedure that may be used.
The purpose of this policy is to establish a clear statement of the purpose for which the school district exists.
200 - School Board
The care, management, and control of the schools is vested by statutory and constitutional authority in the school board. The school board shall carry out the mission of the school district with diligence, prudence, and dedication to the ideals of providing the finest public education. The purpose of this policy is to define the authority, duties, and powers of the school board in carrying out its mission.
School board officers are charged with the duty of carrying out the responsibilities entrusted to them for the care, management, and control of the public schools of the school district. The purpose of this policy is to delineate those responsibilities.
The purpose of this policy is to provide specific rules of order to conduct meetings of the school board.
The purpose of this policy is to ensure consistency in the order of business at regular school board meetings.
The purpose of this policy is to provide procedures for the preparation of the school board meeting agenda to ensure that the school board can accomplish its business as efficiently and expeditiously as possible.
The purpose of this policy is to allow the use of a consent agenda.
School Board members will be compensated as follows effective January 1, 2009
The purpose of this policy is to provide governing rules for the conduct of meetings of the school board.
The purpose of this policy is to establish procedures relating to the maintenance of records of the school board and the publication of its official proceedings.
A. The school board embraces accountability and transparency in the conduct of its business, in the belief that openness produces better programs, more efficient administration of programs, and an organization more responsive to public interest and less susceptible to private interest. The school board shall conduct its business under a presumption of openness. At the same time, the school board recognizes and respects the privacy rights of individuals as provided by law. The school board also recognizes that there are certain exceptions to the Minnesota Open Meeting Law as recognized in statute where it has been determined that, in limited circumstances, the public interest is best served by closing a meeting of the school board.
B. The purpose of this policy is to provide guidelines to assure the rights of the public to be present at school board meetings, while also protecting an individual’s rights to privacy under law, and to close meetings when the public interest so requires as recognized by law.
- The school board recognizes the value of participation by the public in deliberations and decisions on school district matters. At the same time, the school board recognizes the importance of conducting orderly and efficient proceedings, with opportunity for expression of all participants’ respective views.
- The purpose of this policy is to provide procedures to assure open and orderly public discussion as well as to protect the due process and privacy rights of individuals under the law.
The purpose of this policy is to establish procedures to efficiently receive public input.
The purpose of this policy is to emphasize the importance of the policy-making role of the school board and provide the means for it to be an ongoing effort.

300 - Administration
The purpose of this policy is to ensure that Cambridge-Isanti Schools’ positions are described through current job descriptions.
The purpose of this policy is to clarify the role of the school district administration and its relationship with the school board.
The purpose of this policy is to recognize the importance of the role of the superintendent and the overall responsibility of that position within the school district.
The purpose of this policy is to convey to the school community that the authority to select and employ a superintendent is vested in the school board.
The purpose of this policy is to provide for the use of an employment contract with the superintendent, a position description and the use of an approved instrument to evaluate performance.
The purpose of this policy is to clarify the responsibility of the school administration for implementation of school board district.
The purpose of this policy is to establish the requirements of the school board that school administrators adhere to the standards of ethics and professional conduct in this policy and Minnesota law.
400 - Employees/Personnel
The purpose of this policy is to provide equal employment opportunity for all applicants for school district employment and for all school district employees.
The purpose of this policy is to provide a fair employment setting for all persons and to comply with state and federal law.
The purpose of this policy is to achieve effective operation of the school district’s programs through the cooperation of all employees under a system of policies and rules applied fairly and uniformly.
The purpose of this policy is to maintain a safe and healthful environment in the school district in order to promote the physical, social, and psychological well-being of its students.
Pursuant to Policy 404, all volunteers are required to undergo a background check, specific guidelines are as outlined in this procedure.
The purpose of this policy is to comply with the Minnesota Veterans Preference Act (VPA) which provides preference points for veterans applying for employment with political subdivisions, including school districts, as well as additional rights for veterans in the discharge process.
Consent to Release Data – Request from an Individual
An individual asks the school district to release private data to an outside entity or person. Because the district does not have statutory authority to release the data, it must get the individual’s written informed consent.
The purpose of this policy is to provide guidance to school district employees as to the data the school district collects and maintains regarding its employees, volunteers, independent contractors, and applicants (“personnel”).
The purpose of this policy is to provide school district employees a place of employment and conditions of employment free from recognized hazards that are likely to cause death or serious injury or harm. (Minn. Stat. § 182.653, Subd. 2)
The purpose of this policy is to protect the privacy rights of school district employees and students under both state and federal law when requested to testify or provide educational records for a judicial or administrative proceeding.

The school board recognizes that chemical use and abuse constitutes a grave threat to the physical and mental well-being of students and employees and significantly impedes the learning process. Chemical use and abuse also creates significant problems for society in general. The school board believes that the public school has a role in education, intervention, and prevention of chemical use and abuse. The purpose of this policy is to assist the school district in its goal to prevent chemical use and abuse by providing procedures for education and intervention.
The purpose of this policy is to maintain a safe and healthful environment for employees and students by prohibiting the use of alcohol, toxic substances, medical cannabis, nonintoxicating cannabinoids, edible cannabinoid products, and controlled substances without a physician’s prescription.
The purpose of this policy is to maintain a learning and working environment that is tobacco free.
Public concern that students and staff of the school district be able to attend the schools of the district without becoming infected with serious communicable or infectious diseases, including, but not limited to, Human Immunodeficiency Virus (HIV), Acquired Immunodeficiency Syndrome (AIDS), Hepatitis B, and Tuberculosis, requires that the school board adopt measures effectively responding to health concerns while respecting the rights of all students, employees, and contractors, including those who are so infected. The purpose of this policy is to adopt such measures.
The purpose of this policy is to avoid the appearance of impropriety or the appearance of a conflict of interest with respect to gifts given to school district employees and school board members.
Certain policies as contained in the school district’s policies are applicable to employees as well as to students. In order to avoid undue duplication, the school district provides notice by this section of the application and incorporation by reference of policies included, but not limited to those listed below, which also apply to employees:
The school district is committed to an educational environment in which all students are treated with respect and dignity. Every school district employee is to provide students with appropriate guidance, understanding, and direction while maintaining a standard of professionalism and acting within accepted standards of conduct.
The purpose of this policy is to ensure that qualified teachers are employed by the school district and to fulfill its duty to ascertain the licensure status of its teachers. A school board that employs a teacher who does not hold a valid teaching license or permit places itself at risk for a reduction in state aid. This policy does not negate a teacher’s duty and responsibility to maintain a current and valid teaching license.
The purpose of this policy is to establish a staff development program and structure to carry out planning and reporting on staff development that supports improved student learning.

The following is a listing of the efforts the school district will make in order to implement the School Board policy.
The purpose of this policy is to establish general parameters for determining the workload limits of special education staff who provide services to children with disabilities receiving direct special education services 60 percent or less of the instructional day.
The purpose of this policy is to establish and maintain a professional, respectful working environment for all employees. The school district recognizes each employee’s right to individual respect and dignity and is committed to fostering a positive, productive work environment.
It shall be the policy of the School Board to grant leaves of absences addressed in the master agreement with teachers and support staff in accordance with the procedures outlined in the agreement.
500 - Students
The purpose of this policy is to assure a safe school environment for students, staff and the public.
The purpose of this policy is to provide for a safe and healthful educational environment by enforcing the school district’s policies against contraband.
The school board believes that regular school attendance is directly related to success in academic work, benefits students socially, provides opportunities for important communications between teachers and students, and establishes regular habits of dependability important to the future of the student. The purpose of this policy is to encourage regular school attendance. It is intended to be positive and not punitive.
This policy also recognizes that class attendance is a joint responsibility to be shared by the student, parent or guardian, teacher, and administrators. This policy will assist students in attending class.
The purpose of this policy is to enhance the education of students by establishing expectations of dress and appearance that are related to educational goals.
The purpose of this policy is to recognize the participation of students and employees in political issues. Further, the purpose of this policy is to define limitations on procedures and guidelines for the participation of students and employees in political campaigns, partisan or non-partisan election activities, and the distribution of political or partisan materials.
The purpose of this policy is to protect the exercise of students’ and employees’ free speech rights, taking into consideration the educational objectives and responsibilities of the school district.
These guidelines support Policy #506 and shall be implemented as procedures.
The purpose of this policy is to ensure that students are aware of and comply with the school district’s expectations for student conduct.
The purpose of this policy is to establish the contractual duties and training requirements of a school resource officer.
The purpose of this policy is to describe limitations on the use of corporal punishment and prone restraint upon a student.
The purpose of this policy is to ensure that the school district complies with the overall requirements of law as mandated for certain students subject to individualized education programs (IEPs) when necessary to provide a free appropriate public education (FAPE).
The Cambridge-Isanti School District places a high priority on ensuring program and service equity between its elementary schools and between its middle schools.
A student must be five years of age on or before September 1 of any year to be eligible to enroll in kindergarten classes. The Cambridge-Isanti Schools views this age requirement as developmentally appropriate for a child to function successfully in the kindergarten program.
The Cambridge-Isanti School District #911 recognizes that early entrance to school is an important decision and should be limited to and reflective of the following process
The purpose of this policy is to set forth the application and exclusion procedures used by the school district in making said determination.
Children and youth who are experiencing homelessness must receive the same educational opportunities as other students. Providing education and appropriate services to children and youth who are homeless can present unique challenges. Cambridge-Isanti Schools, Independent School District #911, has the following procedures and practices in place to identify and serve students who are homeless. Proper identification can help assure that students are provided needed services, that the District is providing service in accordance with state and federal requirements, and that the District receives any financial resources available in support of educating homeless students.
The purpose of this policy is to impart to students, employees, and the community the school district’s policy related to the student activity program.
The purpose of this policy is to address student fundraising efforts.
The purpose of this policy is to protect students’ rights to free speech in production of official school publications and activities while at the same time balancing the school district’s role in supervising student publications and the operation of public schools.
The purpose of this policy is to provide guidance to professional staff, parents/guardians, and students regarding student promotion, retention, and program design.
The purpose of this policy is to assist the school district in its goal of preventing and responding to acts of bullying, intimidation, violence, reprisal, retaliation, and other similar disruptive and detrimental behavior.
The school district recognizes its responsibility in regard to the collection, maintenance, and dissemination of pupil records and the protection of the privacy rights of students as provided in federal law and state statutes.
As a means of enhancing the health and safety of its students, staff and visitors, the school district will acquire, administer, and store doses of an opiate antagonist, specifically Naloxone (Narcan), and administration devices or kits for emergency use to assist a student, staff member, or other individual believed or suspected to be experiencing an opioid overdose on school district property during the school day or at school district activities.
The purpose of this policy is to set forth the provisions that must be followed when administering nonemergency prescription medication to students at school.
The purpose of this policy is to prevent school district employees from exerting undue influence for purposes of securing or retaining the attendance of a student in a school.
The school district recognizes that it is serving students with complex health needs. The school district also recognizes that school district staff may be confronted with requests to withhold emergency care of a student in the event of a life threatening situation at school or school activities or be presented with Do Not Resuscitate/Do Not Intubate (DNR-DNI) orders. The purpose of this policy is to provide guidance to school district staff and parents or guardians in these situations.
There are occasions in which persons other than school district officials and employees find it necessary to speak with a student during the school day. Student safety and disruption of the educational program is of concern to the school district. The purpose of this policy is to establish the procedures for access to students by authorized individuals during the school day.
Occasionally, the school district utilizes surveys to obtain student opinions and information about students. The purpose of this policy is to establish the parameters of information that may be sought in student surveys.
The purpose of this policy is to protect students with disabilities from discrimination on the basis of disability and to identify and evaluate learners who, within the intent of Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973 (Section 504), need services, accommodations, or programs in order that such learners may receive a free appropriate public education.
Title IX Sex Nondiscrimination Policy, Grievance Procedure, and Process.

The purpose of this policy is to set forth policies and guidelines for access to the school district computer system and acceptable and safe use of the Internet, including electronic communications.
The purpose of this policy is to recognize that violence has increased and to identify measures that the school district will take in an attempt to maintain a learning and working environment that is free from violent and disruptive behavior.
The purpose of this policy is to maintain a safe learning environment for students and staff that is free from hazing. Hazing activities of any type are inconsistent with the educational goals of the school district and are prohibited at all times.
The purpose of this policy is to provide guidelines for use and parking of motor vehicles by students in school district locations, to maintain order and discipline in the schools, and to protect the health, safety, and welfare of students and school personnel.
Students are protected from discrimination on the basis of sex and marital status pursuant to Title IX of the Education Amendments of 1972 and the Minnesota Human Rights Act. This includes discrimination on the basis of pregnancy. The purpose of this school district policy is to provide equal educational opportunity for all students and to prohibit discrimination on the grounds of sex, parental, family, or marital status.
The purpose of this policy is to address the circumstances in which data should be provided to classroom teachers and other school staff members about students with a history of violent behavior and to establish a procedure for notifying staff regarding the placement of students with a history of violent behavior.
The purpose of this policy is to require that all students submit the proper immunization documentation as mandated by law to ensure the health and safety of all students.
The purpose of this policy is to provide for recitation of the Pledge of Allegiance and instruction in school to help further that end.
The purpose of this policy is to describe the appropriate use of peace officers and crisis teams to remove, if necessary, a student with an individualized education program (IEP) from school grounds.
The purpose of this policy is to set forth methods that promote student wellness, prevent and reduce childhood obesity, and assure that school meals and other food and beverages sold and otherwise made available on the school campus during the school day are consistent with applicable minimum local, state, and federal standards and protects students’ health, well-being, and ability to learn by supporting healthy eating and physical activity.
The purpose of this policy is to ensure that students receive healthy and nutritious meals through the school district’s nutrition program and that school district employees, families, and students have a shared understanding of expectations regarding meal charges. The policy of the school district is to provide meals to students in a respectful manner and to maintain the dignity of students by prohibiting lunch shaming or otherwise ostracizing the student. The policy seeks to allow students to receive the nutrition they need to stay focused during the school day and minimize identification of students with insufficient funds to pay for a la carte items or second meals as well as to maintain the financial integrity of the school nutrition program.
The purpose of this policy is to establish parameters for the use of service animals by students, employees, and visitors and the use of therapy dogs by employees within school buildings and on school grounds.
600 - Education Programs
The purpose of Cambridge-Isanti Schools Mentoring and Induction Program is to maintain and improve the quality of education for all students by supporting the preparation, induction, and ongoing professional development of the new teachers in the district.
The student teaching and internship policy is designed to encourage the utilization of student teachers as interns through agreements between accredited teacher education institutions, and the district and/or the building principal. The teacher education institution programs shall be implemented in a manner consistent with the Cambridge-Isanti Schools educational goals.
The purpose of this policy is to establish broad curriculum parameters for the school district that encompass the Minnesota Academic Standards and federal law and are aligned with comprehensive achievement and civic readiness.
The purpose of this policy is to provide for a timely determination of the school calendar and school day.
The purpose of this policy is to provide direction for continuous review and improvement of the school curriculum.
The purpose of this policy is to provide for the development of course offerings for students.
The purpose of this policy is to recognize the need for alternative educational services for some school district students.
These guidelines support Policy #606 and shall be implemented as procedures.
The purpose of this policy is to provide direction for selection of textbooks and instructional materials.
The purpose of this policy is to address the grade level organization of schools within the school district.
The purpose of this policy is to set forth the position of the school board on the need to provide special educational services to some students in the school district.

The purpose of this policy is to recognize and provide guidelines in accordance with state law for parents who wish to have their children receive education in a home school that is an alternative to an accredited public or private school.
The purpose of this policy is to encourage and facilitate involvement by parents of students participating in Title I in the educational programs and experiences of students.
The purpose of this policy is to set forth requirements for graduation from the school district.
The purpose of this policy is to set forth the school district’s testing plan and procedure.
The purpose of the policy is to provide adequate opportunity for students identified as having individualized education program (IEP), Rehabilitation Act of 1973, § 504 accommodation plan (504 plan), or English Learner (EL) needs to participate in statewide assessment systems designed to hold schools accountable for the academic performance of all students.

The purpose of this policy is to institute a process for the establishment and revision of assessments to measure achievement toward meeting the Minnesota Academic Standards, track academic progress over time, and provide Minnesota graduates information related to career and college readiness.
The purpose of this policy is to establish opportunities for staff development which advance the staff’s ability to work effectively with the Minnesota Academic Standards, Graduation Assessment Requirements, and with students as they progress to achievement of those Graduation Assessment Requirements and meet the requirements of federal law.

This policy aligns with Minnesota law established in the Read Act and on other topics related to reading.
The purpose of this policy is to establish program parameters and student attendance guidelines and requirements for the school district relating to the provision of mandatory summer school educational services.
The purpose of this policy is to recognize and govern online instruction options of students enrolled in the school district for purposes of compulsory attendance and address enrollment of students with an online instruction site for supplemental or full-time online learning.

700 - Non-Instructional Operations and Business Services
The purpose of this policy is to establish procedures for the modification of the school district’s adopted revenue and expenditure budgets.
The purpose of this policy is to provide clear guidance on purchasing and procurement of necessary supplies, equipment and services.
The purpose of this policy is to establish lines of authority and procedures for the establishment of the school district’s revenue and expenditure budgets.
The purpose of this policy is to adopt the Uniform Financial Accounting and Reporting Standards for Minnesota School Districts (UFARS) provided for in guidelines adopted by the Minnesota Department of Education.
The purpose of this policy is to provide for an annual audit of the books and records of the school district in order to comply with law, to provide a permanent record of the financial position of the school district, and to provide guidance to the school district to correct any errors and discrepancies in its practices.
The purpose of this policy is to provide for the development and maintenance of an inventory of the fixed assets of the school district and the establishment and maintenance of a fixed asset accounting system.
The purpose of this policy is to establish guidelines for the investment of school district funds.
The purpose of this policy is to provide guidelines for the acceptance of gifts by the school board.
The purpose of this policy is to provide for the transportation of students consistent with the requirements of law.
The purpose of this policy is to address transportation rights of nonpublic school students and to provide equality of treatment in transporting such students pursuant to law.
The creation of a positive, safe atmosphere on the bus is an important part of each bus driver’s responsibility. Maintaining this atmosphere will require the driver to take action in building relationships with students and to intervene if behavior standards are not met.
The purpose of this policy is to provide safe transportation for students and to educate students on safety issues and the responsibilities of school bus ridership.
The purpose of this policy is to make clear to students, parents/guardians, and staff the school district’s policy regarding extracurricular transportation.
The purpose of this policy is to establish a school bus video recording system.
Maintaining the health, welfare, and safety of students, staff, and visitors while on school district property and the protection of school district property are important functions of the school district. The behavior of individuals who come on to school property is a significant factor in maintaining order and discipline and protecting students, staff, visitors, and school district property. The school board recognizes the value of video/electronic surveillance systems in monitoring activity on school property in furtherance of protecting the health, welfare, and safety of students, staff, visitors, and school district property.
The school board recognizes the need to provide alternative paths to learning, skill development for its students, and activities for student enjoyment. It also understands its commitment to and obligation for assuring maximum accountability for public funds and student activity funds. For these reasons, the school board will assume control over and/or oversee funds for student activities as set forth in this policy.
The purpose of this policy is to create new fund balance classifications to allow for more useful fund balance reporting and for compliance with the reporting guidelines specified in Statement No. 54 of the Governmental Accounting Standards Board (GASB).
The purpose of this policy is to establish procedures to govern food and beverage sales in school facilities in the school district.
This manual has been prepared to document the policies and procedures for the administration of federal awards of Cambridge-Isanti Schools (the “District”) and general business procedures. The Office of Management and Budget (OMB) Uniform Administrative Requirements, Cost Principles and Audit Requirements [34 CFR Part 80, 2 CFR Part 213 and Part 6 of the Office of Management and Budget (OMB) UGG - Uniform Grant Guidance Compliance Supplement] require all sub-recipients of federal funds to establish and maintain internal controls designed to reasonably ensure compliance with Federal laws, regulations and program compliance requirements. Written policies and procedures are part of the necessary internal controls and are required as a precondition to receiving federal funds. These policies and procedures are intended to be sufficiently comprehensive to adequately meet such requirements. However, in no case are these policies and procedures intended to supersede or limit federal or state laws or regulations, or the provisions of individual grant agreements.
The purpose of this policy is to ensure compliance with the requirements of the federal Uniform Grant Guidance regulations by establishing uniform administrative requirements, cost principles, and audit requirements for federal grant awards received by the school district.
The school district recognizes its responsibility relative to the collection, maintenance, and dissemination of public data as provided in state statutes.
The Internal Revenue Service (IRS) is responsible for enforcing compliance with the Internal Revenue Code (the “Code”) and regulations promulgated thereunder (“Treasury Regulations”) governing certain obligations (for example: tax-exempt obligations, Build America Bonds, Recovery Zone Development Bonds and various “Tax Credit” Bonds). The IRS encourages issuers and beneficiaries of these obligations to adopt and implement a post-issuance debt compliance policy and procedures to safeguard against post-issuance violations.
800 - Building and Sites
The purpose of this policy is to implement the Equal Access Act by granting equal access to secondary school facilities for students who wish to conduct a meeting for religious, political, or philosophical purposes during noninstructional time.
The purpose of this policy is to provide guidelines for the superintendent to assist in timely disposition of obsolete equipment and material.
The purpose of this policy is to establish a resource recovery program to promote the reduction of waste, the separation and recovery of recyclable and reusable commodities, the procurement of recyclable commodities and commodities containing recycled materials, the disposition of waste materials and surplus property, and the establishment of a program of education to develop an awareness of environmentally sound waste management. (Minn. Stat. § 115A.15, Subd. 1)
The purpose of this Model Crisis Management Policy is to act as a guide for school district and building administrators, school employees, students, school board members, and community members to address a wide range of potential crisis situations in the school district.
The purpose of this policy is to assist the school district in promoting health and safety, reducing injuries, and complying with federal, state, and local health and safety laws and regulations.
The Cambridge-Isanti School District believes that it is important to conserve energy and natural resources while practicing sound financial management. The school district places a high priority on public education providing leadership in developing an energy efficient culture.
The purpose of this policy is to establish procedures for the use of an unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV), also known as drone, for any purpose at any Cambridge-Isanti Schools event. For purposes of this policy, an UAV is any aircraft without a human pilot aboard the device. This policy will also be used to assist the district in promoting safety, reducing injuries, and complying with federal, state, state high school league rules and policies, local laws, regulations, and district policies. In addition, the district recognizes its responsibility in regard to the protection of the privacy rights of students as provided in federal law and state statutes.
The purpose of this policy is to authorize and direct the Superintendent to establish, implement, and maintain information security measures.
900 - School/Community Relations
The purpose of this policy is to convey to employees and to the general public the important role of community education within the school district.
To provide a non-intrusive plan for ensuring staff access to educational and supportive materials that will benefit students and/or school programs.
The purpose of this policy is to inform the school community and the general public of the position of the school board on visitors to school buildings and other school property.
The purpose of this policy is to provide for distribution of materials appropriate to the school setting by nonstaff and nonstudents on school district property in a reasonable time, place, and manner which does not disrupt the educational program nor interfere with the educational objectives of the school district.
The purpose of this policy is to provide guidelines for the advertising or promoting of products or services to students and parents in the schools.
The purpose of this policy is to assist school administrators and staff members in responding to a notification by a law enforcement agency that a convicted predatory offender is moving into the school district so that they may better protect individuals in the school's care while they are on or near the school district premises or under the control of the school district.
The purpose of this policy is to authorize the school board to offer rewards to persons who provide accurate and reliable information leading to the conviction of a person who has committed or conspired to commit a crime against students or school employees, volunteers, or school board members as a result of their affiliation with the school district, or against school district property.
The American Indian Parent Advisory Committee in collaboration with the Teaching and Learning Advisory Committee of Cambridge-Isanti Schools will continuously review the programs offered by the school district, and will provide input concerning the educational needs of the American Indian children and the needs for adult education programs for American Indian people in this community.
The school board recognizes that staff and students of the district benefit from programs and resources provided by the colleges and universities. This policy is designed to support and facilitate program relationships with post-secondary education institutions.
Effective communications and public relationships are essential for the success of the Cambridge-Isanti Schools as a public entity. The purpose of this policy is to ensure effective, results-oriented communications with a goal of increasing awareness, understanding, interest in, and support for the students, staff, programs, and goals of the district – a learning community whose mission is to develop well-rounded individuals who excel in leadership, achieve at the highest levels, and are responsible citizens.
The purpose of this policy is to establish the District’s position relative to Tax Abatement (Abatement) for private development. This policy shall be used as a guide in the review and consideration of abatement proposals. The School District, in adopting this policy, retains the sole and absolute discretion to grant or deny any request for any reason with or without cause or explanation. The School District shall have the option of amending or waiving sections of this policy when determined necessary or appropriate if determining that the total economic benefit exceeds this policy’s intent.
