Growing Together as a Community

I'm thankful for the strong start we've had to the school year! It’s been a joy to see our Bluejacket community come together. Homecoming this year was a great reminder of what it means to be part of Cambridge-Isanti. From the spirited pep fests, to the energy at the game, and all the events in between, Homecoming went beyond just a school event; it was a celebration of who we are as a community. Thank you to everyone who brought our festivities to life. GO BIG BLUE!

Homecoming showed what truly makes our district unique:

This unity is not just a one-time event, but a continuous effort that we build on every day. It’s ingrained in our mission, which is rooted in honesty, respect, responsibility, self-discipline, and compassion—the Bluejacket values we embrace. “The Bluejacket Way” is more than a motto; it’s our pledge to create an environment where every student feels valued and supported. Because of these shared values, we’re off to a fantastic start.

With such a positive start, I’m thrilled about the potential for us to continue building this momentum through expanded connections and community involvement. Throughout the school year, we’ll have new opportunities for engagement where community member insights and ideas can help shape the future of our schools. Our schools belong to all of us, and we look forward to learning and growing together.

These opportunities will allow us to have meaningful conversations about what matters most to our community. We’re focused on more than just today’s needs—we’re looking to create a vision for our district that will carry us well into the future. Our goal is to make sharing your thoughts easy and accessible. By involving our community in opportunities for feedback and guidance, we’ll be employing our mission which states in the first line; “...in partnership with our community,” to ensure that we can gain all perspectives possible in our planning purposes.

This kind of collaboration is essential—not just for where we are now but for where we’re going. I’m truly looking forward to the ideas and solutions that will come out of every opportunity to connect.
