Introducing our New Assistant Superintendent for Teaching and Learning

C-I Schools Welcomes Dr. Jason Bodey

Cambridge-Isanti Schools is proud to introduce Dr. Jason Bodey as the District's next Assistant Superintendent for Teaching and Learning starting June 17, pending School Board approval. Dr. Bodey will replace Dr. Brenda Damiani, who announced in January her intent to leave at the end of this school year to spend more time with family.

“Dr. Bodey brings a breadth of leadership experience gained through a unique career path,” said Superintendent Nate Rudolph. “He started as a middle school science teacher and in each stage of his career gained new experiences: a middle school assistant principal, elementary principal, Alternative Learning Center principal, Pre-K principal, and then central office leadership for teaching and learning. He is a humble leader who listens, learns, adapts and brings people together toward common goals.”

Described by colleagues as a considerate, reflective, and dedicated leader, Dr. Bodey’s leadership style invites collaboration, with a focus on student-centered learning, data analysis, intervention, and enhancing student achievement. 

“I’m so impressed with the sense of community in Cambridge-Isanti Schools and Bluejacket Pride and the Bluejacket Way,” shared Dr. Bodey. “It’s a beautiful community that's really supportive of their schools. The Strategic Plan directs the important work we do with a commitment to partnership with families and community. I’m also impressed with the highly collaborative group of teachers and leaders. That is the type of people and community I want to be a part of! And it’s a growing community—that's exciting, too.”

Dr. Bodey is currently the Director of Teaching and Learning in Fridley, where he has worked since 2017. In his experience as a school administrator, he also served in St. Michael-Albertville, Hopkins, Minnetonka, and Bloomington. He started his career as a teacher in Robbinsdale. He holds a Bachelor’s in Science from St. Cloud State and earned his Master’s and Doctor of Education (EdD) degrees from Saint Mary’s University of Minnesota.

Cambridge-Isanti Schools selection process included four interview teams composed of teachers, principals, and district administrators. The District attracted a highly qualified candidate pool, with a highly competitive choice of finalists after three rounds of interviews. Our District would like to thank everyone involved in the selection process.
