Cambridge-Isanti 8th Grade Annual Career Exploration Day
On Thursday, March 21, nearly 400 eighth-grade students from Cambridge and Isanti Middle Schools participated in the annual Career Exploration Day. Held at the Cambridge Campus of Anoka-Ramsey Community College and the Armed Forces Reserve Center, this event provided students with a hands-on introduction to a variety of career opportunities.
Throughout the day, students rotated through interactive stations and attended short presentations led by local businesses and community organizations. Many stations featured engaging, hands-on activities designed to spark interest and excitement about potential future career paths.
The event highlighted career opportunities across multiple pathways, including:
-
Arts, Communications & Information Systems
-
Business, Management, and Administration
-
Engineering, Manufacturing, and Technology
-
Health Sciences, Human Services, and Agriculture/Natural Resources
Career Exploration Day is made possible through a collaborative planning effort that includes Cambridge-Isanti Schools, Arts and Science Academy, Cambridge Christian School, Anoka-Ramsey Community College, and the North 65 Chamber of Commerce. A special thank you goes to Melissa Bettendorf of the North 65 Chamber of Commerce and Shannon Kirkeide of Anoka-Ramsey Community College for their leadership in organizing this valuable event.
By providing students with direct exposure to diverse career paths, Career Exploration Day helps them envision their futures and take meaningful steps toward their goals.
