Bluejacket Brief: Woodland Campus—A Reflection of Our Mission and Values

At Cambridge-Isanti Schools, every student’s path is unique, and our schools are designed to support those needs.

Woodland Campus is part of our district and reflects our commitment to serving students in thoughtful, supportive, and individualized ways. While it is sometimes misunderstood, Woodland is not separate from our schools or our mission. It brings together specialized programs that help students learn, grow, and find success in ways that work best for them.

Woodland Campus is home to three programs:

Brookside Academy supports students with higher needs who benefit from smaller class sizes, added structure, and specialized support during the school day. Services are guided by each student’s Individualized Education Program (IEP), and decisions are made with families as part of a team. The goal is to build skills and confidence so students can return to their neighborhood school when ready.

Moving Forward is a transition program for young adults ages 18 to 22 who continue to receive special education services based on their individual needs. Students build skills for life after high school, including employment, education, and independent living.

Riverside Academy is an Alternative Learning Center for middle and high school students who may need a different path to succeed. Through personalized learning, smaller settings, flexible scheduling, and strong support systems, students are able to stay on track, recover credits, and work toward graduation.

These programs exist because students have different needs, and public schools are called to meet those needs in thoughtful and effective ways.

Woodland Campus is not about separation. It is about making sure students feel supported, understood, and connected to opportunities that help them succeed.

Every student deserves a place where they feel they belong. Woodland Campus is one way we live out that commitment—Every Student, Every Day.
