Bluejacket Brief: Our Schools in Action All Year

In a single year, Cambridge-Isanti School District facilities are used by the community for nearly 10,000 hours outside of the regular school day—during evenings, weekends, school breaks, and non-school days.

That matters because it means our schools are true community hubs all year long. Through Cambridge-Isanti Community Education and alongside many community organizations and partners, our buildings create space for all ages and generations to stay active, build skills, meet others, and discover new passions.

On any given week, you’ll find opportunities like open gyms and open swim, youth sports and recreation leagues, adult fitness and enrichment classes, early learning and family activities, community meetings, and events and opportunities hosted by local organizations. Whether someone is trying a new hobby, joining a team, connecting with neighbors, or finding a welcoming place to gather, our facilities make it possible—close to home.

Cambridge-Isanti School District facilities are public community spaces that are built to serve everyone, not only students or families with children currently in school. When community members and local organizations use our buildings, it strengthens connection, supports well-being, and keeps our facilities filled with opportunity and welcoming for all.

Our schools are more than places where students learn during the day. They are shared community spaces where people come together to gather, grow, and stay connected in every season of the year.
