Bluejacket Brief: From Classroom to Career, Real-World Learning in Action

At Cambridge-Isanti Schools, learning doesn’t stop at the classroom door.

Through Career and Technical Education (CTE) and career pathways at Cambridge-Isanti High School, students build skills for life after graduation. They learn by doing—using real tools, solving problems, and applying their skills in meaningful ways.

Students can explore areas like manufacturing, health sciences, business, and technology. These experiences help connect classroom learning to future careers.

One example is the Bluejacket Advanced Manufacturing Program (AMP). Students learn alongside industry professionals, take part in tours, and may complete paid internships. They can also earn certifications, such as OSHA 10-Hour and NC3 CNC certifications.

Our Strategic Plan calls for all graduates to have a plan for the future. Through programs like CTE and AMP, students build confidence and develop skills to prepare them for college, careers, and the workforce.

These opportunities are made possible through strong community partnerships, helping students connect their learning to their future.
