Bluejacket Brief: Celebrating the People Behind the Bluejacket Way
The Bluejacket Celebration is Cambridge-Isanti Schools’ annual staff recognition event honoring the incredible people who make a difference for students every day. From educators, operations and support staff, transportation and food services staff, coaches, and leaders, the celebration recognizes the dedication and care that help students succeed.
Awards presented each year include Friend of Cambridge-Isanti, Teacher of Excellence, Support Staff of Excellence, Leader of Excellence, milestone years of service, and retiree recognitions.
One especially meaningful honor is The Bluejacket Way “Above and Beyond” Award. This recognition celebrates staff members who consistently go above and beyond for students, families, schools, and the community while demonstrating the values of The Bluejacket Way.
What makes this award unique is that nominations come directly from parents, families, and community members. Every nomination shares a story of compassion, encouragement, dedication, and positive impact. These stories remind us that community voices matter and help shine a light on the meaningful relationships our staff build every day.
Each nomination is carefully read and thoughtfully considered because every story reflects the lasting difference our staff members make in the lives of students and families. Five recipients will be announced during the 2026 Bluejacket Celebration on May 27, 2026, at 4:30 p.m.
Community members can tune in live through Bluejacket Broadcast on YouTube to help celebrate these outstanding Bluejackets.

The Bluejackets made history at the state meet, winning the Class AAA team championship while setting two Minnesota state records and earning multiple individual medals.
