Family Involvement
Family Involvement
Parent/guardian involvement in the education of their children is encouraged and valued. The following are examples of ways parents/guardians may become involved in the school district.
- Parent and Community Advisory Committee - Parents/guardians may serve on a parent & community advisory committee. Building level committees allow parents/guardians/community members to act as sounding boards for their buildings. Please contact the program office for more information.
- Parent Conferences - Parent conferences are scheduled on a school-wide basis and on the Riverside Academy High School and Junior High calendars; parents/guardians are notified prior to conferences.
- Volunteer Program - Volunteers support and enhance a wide range of programs and activities in our schools. A volunteer can be anyone willing to donate his/her time and talent. Please consider volunteering in our schools. A background check is required for many of our volunteer activities and is good for three years, please see our Volunteer Policy 625 and Volunteer Background Check Procedure on the district website.
