Elections

Cambridge-Isanti Schools holds even-year elections in conjunction with the state general elections. If needed, a special election can be called on an off-cycle year to vote on a question or fill a board member vacancy. In most cases, special elections are administered by the school district.

2024 School Board Election

Three school board member seats will be up for election on November 5, 2024. Candidate filing period will be from July 30 through August 13, 2024.

Candidate Information

To file for school board, candidates need to submit their notarized Affidavit of Candidacy paperwork and $2 filing fee to the Cambridge-Isanti Schools’ District Office (625A Main St N, Cambridge, MN 55008) between July 30 and 5:00 PM on August 13. Candidates can come to the District Office Mondays through Fridays from 7:30 AM to 4:30 PM (except for August 2) to complete these items in person and have their affidavits notarized. Voter Information

On November 5, voting will take place at the normal city and township polling locations. Absentee voting will begin on September 20 and will be administered by Isanti and Chisago County. Check with your county to learn about early and direct balloting options.

2023 Special School Board Election

Due to a board vacancy, Cambridge-Isanti Schools held a special election on November 7, 2023, to fill the vacancy through the first Monday in January 2025. Candidate filing was open from August 1 through August 15. Three candidates filed for the Special Election.
