  • Welcome to Cambridge-Isanti Schools!

Cambridge-Isanti Schools is home to the Bluejackets. With unmatched community support, our vibrant school community serves approximately 5,000 students in grades pre-K-12 with nine schools: two primary schools, two intermediate schools, two middle schools, one high school, a K-5 STEAM-focused elementary, and a multi-age special programs campus, in addition to our early childhood and community education programs. Our emphasis on personalized learning options, community partnerships and highly qualified staff has earned the district high ratings for quality education.

    • 85% of our community believes they receive good value for their investment in our schools.
    • 62% of voters supported a 2021 referendum to increase local funding for our schools.
    • 82% of parents rate the quality of education as excellent or good.
    • 85% of parents trust the administration to make decisions in the best interest of children.
  • The district’s graduation rate consistently trends higher than state and national averages, with 60% college-bound and 40% of our graduates workforce ready. Cambridge-Isanti students have the potential to earn up to 68 college credits through PSEO and College in the Schools at Cambridge-Isanti High School in collaboration with five partner colleges and universities. The Class of 2022 earned 1,530 college credits while in high school—a potential savings of more than $1 million in future college tuition. Eleven programs earn articulated college credits in the trades, technical and workforce-ready programs; for example, our students can graduate high school as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) or Certified Welder and walk into good-paying jobs in high-demand fields.

Our students are well-rounded and most participate in multiple activities. Bluejackets have earned state and national honors in theatre, robotics, music and sports. A member of the Minnesota State High School League and the Mississippi 8 Conference, Cambridge-Isanti High School offers more than 70 athletics and extracurricular activities. Two students in the last decade won Minnesota's Triple-A Award for achievements in academics, arts and athletics. Our notable Bluejacket alumni include:

    • Brig. General Shawn Manke appointed to lead the Minnesota National Guard in 2020
    • Corie Barry – CEO of Best Buy
    • Ryan Larson – a 2020 finalists for Minnesota Teacher of the Year
    • And aspiring Olympian Char Morke '19 — a state champion pole vaulter, gymnast and second class Midshipman at the U.S. Naval Academy - still breaking records.

The foundation of all learning is positive developmental relationships that not only nurture and support but also challenge students to exceed their own expectations. With more than half of the District’s teachers possessing a master’s degree or higher, Cambridge-Isanti Schools provide students with multifaceted learning experiences in technology, arts, science and more.

We offer families choices in learning options with our new C-I Online School, a K-5 STEAM-focused elementary school, and our traditional neighborhood schools. Along with alternative learning and special education services, our programs are designed to serve all students’ needs. Blended learning, character education, and real-life learning opportunities continue to support an educational experience that grows students into responsible, well-rounded community members who pursue their own high expectations. Students in grades 6-12 enjoy 1:1 devices to support innovative learning. Robotics, technical arts and trades, along with family and consumer sciences programs provide students with relevant experiences that help prepare them for the workforce and life.

Cambridge and Isanti are vibrant, growing communities. This is really a great place to raise a family, and we welcome new residents.

The mission of Cambridge-Isanti Schools, in partnership with our community,
is to EDUCATE, EMPOWER and INSPIRE
EVERY STUDENT, EVERY DAY to achieve their full potential.
