    NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the period for filing affidavits of candidacy for the office of school board member of Independent School District No. 911 shall begin on July 28, 2020, and shall close at 5:00 o'clock p.m. on August 11, 2020.

    The general and special election shall be held on Tuesday, November 3, 2020. At that election, three (3) members will be elected to the School Board for terms of four (4) years.

    Affidavits of Candidacy are available from the school district clerk, Independent School District No. 911, 625A Main Street North, Cambridge, Minnesota 55008. The filing fee for this office is $2. A candidate for this office must be an eligible voter, must be 21 years of age or more on assuming office, must have been a resident of the school district from which the candidate seeks election for thirty (30) days before the general or special election, and must have no other affidavit on file for any other office at the same general or special election.

    The affidavits of candidacy must be filed in the office of the school district clerk and the filing fee paid prior to 5:00 o'clock p.m. on August 11, 2020.

    Please see above the Notice of Filing Dates for Election to the School Board of Cambridge-Isanti Schools. As a result of the pandemic, we are asking that you either set up an appointment at the district office to complete the Affidavit of Candidacy or drop your completed forms and payment in the dropbox at the district office. To set up an appointment, contact Melanie Allen, the superintendent’s administrative assistant at 763-689-6202 or mallen@c-ischools.org. If you choose to utilize the dropbox, place your notarized Affidavit of Candidacy in a sealed envelope with your filing fee in the form of cash or check and write "Election 2020" on the envelope. The dropbox is located at the front door of the district office. An email confirmation will be sent to you when completed, notarized affidavits and the filing fee are received.

    PLEASE NOTE: Affidavits of Candidacy will not be submitted to the County until completed, notarized forms with confirmation of filing fee have been received.
