Prior to settling down as a Minneapolis musician, Jack Klatt spent six years on the road. With his backpack and a Martin guitar, he hitchhiked and did a lot of walking; in the north and southwest, from San Francisco to New York - even spending a year in Spain and Italy. Around 2012, he won a Minnesota State Arts Grant, allowing him to record and collaborate with a number of Minnesota all-stars, including Hardy Center favorite, “Spider” John Koerner. His travel experiences have enhanced his musical talents – which show in every lyric and melody he writes.
Young, retro barroom-blues/folk picker Jack Klatt isn’t just influenced by some of the greats of Minneapolis’ West Bank music scene, he’s actually playing with some of them.
Our "On Stage With" series offers show-goers an opportunity to be part of a variety of performances including Folk, Instrumentals, Traditional Irish and Eclectic music. Performers and the audience will be on stage at the Hardy Center, creating a close-knit atmosphere.
We now offer a Mezzanine seating option. This will allow you to decide if you would like to sit On Stage With the performers - or enjoy the Hardy Center auditorium seating.
