Cambridge-Isanti Schools is committed to the success of all our students. One way the community can help in their success is through volunteering. Volunteering in the school is more than sorting papers and cutting laminating. Our middle schools and high school also utilize volunteers in ways you may not have considered.
Did you know the high school Foods and Consumer Sciences class has volunteers who shop for the groceries and supplies for their class? Activity nights and dances also need volunteers to chaperone or sell refreshments to the students. Exploratories are often looking for supplies and talented people to help the teachers share talents outside of the traditional classes, like sewing, photography, and more.
Volunteering is good for your health! It's true - studies suggest that volunteering helps a person feel more connected and in touch with the world around them. Volunteering can also help reduce blood pressure and elevate your mental health.
Our students are also encouraged when they see the community invested in their academic success. If you are ready to become a part of the Cambridge-Isanti Volunteer Services program, click here to get started.
Have you volunteered recently? We'd love to hear from you!
We strive to make our program warm, welcoming and inviting. Your input is welcome to help us improve how we work within the community and the schools!
