On Wednesday, November 16, 2016 I had the pleasure of Supershadowing Melissa Goetz in Ms. Deb’s preschool class! I spent the morning with 4 and 5-year-olds singing songs, working on the letter “I”, painting, playing outside, reading a book and having a popcorn snack. The morning went so quickly as we moved from one activity to the next. The kids were having so much fun while they learned and all of the helpers in Ms. Deb’s class were so positive and engaging. I was rather impressed when one student noted that the number of kids dropped from 17 to 16 when one got sick and left, they are already working on some subtraction skills in Ms. Deb’s class.

What a great experience I had and I appreciate being welcomed in as a member of the team and put right to work!!! Thanks so much Deb, Melissa, Laura and Jamie!

Supershadow is an initiative started by Superintendent Dr. Ray Queener that allows district administrators to get first-hand experience in the schools as they shadow C-I staff members and experience the classroom and activities along with students.
