Multiple studies have shown that those students that participate in activities, the arts, and athletics; have higher GPAs and graduate at a higher rate than non-participants.

A special congratulations to our Bluejacket High School Tennis Team and Coaches , on their 18 win season, 2 playoff victories, and 7AA Semifinalists.

Lee Orvik, has been named as the 7AA Head Girls’ Tennis Coach of the Year. Lee has been honored with this award from his peers, 3 times in the past 6 years.

Clint Lundeen, has been named as the 7AA Assistant Girls’ Tennis Coach of the Year.

A very sincere thank you to our Bluejacket Pep Bands and director Mr. Kennedy, for providing great music at many fall Cambridge-Isanti athletic events. Well done!

Honoring Veterans and Hometown Heroes:

For many years we have honored individuals that have served our Country in the military. At home varsity football games, we honor a Veteran by having them and family members raise the Flag during the playing of our National anthem. We sincerely thank them for their service.

Academics, Arts, and Athletics Award- on Monday December 4th, a committee consisting of administrators, counselors, advisors, and directors; will select our Cambridge-Isanti High School recipients of the AAA Award. The deadline for students to submit applications is Thursday, November 30th at 3:00 p.m.

What makes one eligible for this prestigious AAA Award?

All seniors with a cumulative grade point average of 3.0 or higher, and have participated or will participate as a senior, in at least one school athletic, and one fine arts activity sponsored by the Minnesota State High School League (band, choir, one act play, speech, robotics, visual arts.)

Per Minnesota State High School League Rules; winter athletics and activities will all have started seasons in the next few weeks. Best wishes to our activities participants and advisors, coaches, and directors.

Girls’ Hockey had a tremendous start to their season, by defeating Moose Lake Area 5-1 on Saturday, November 11th. Congratulations to our student-athletes and coaching staff.
