The Isanti County Safety Camp was open to children who had just completed 2nd, 3rd, 4th and 5th grades.
During the two days, children from our community attended presentations focused on fire, electric, personal, water safety and more. Classes were also held on making good choices and what to do in a variety of emergency situations.
Safety Camp is sponsored by the Cambridge-Isanti School District, Isanti County Public Health, Braham Police and Fire, Cambridge Police and Fire, Isanti Police and Fire, Isanti County Sheriff and Rescue, Cambridge Medical Center, Allina Medical Transport and Minnesota DNR. It is also supported by financial, food and supply donations from many local businesses and community members.
Families attended a graduation ceremony in the Richard G. Hardy Performing Arts Center on Friday, June 16. Ice cream was served in the Cafeteria following the graduation ceremony.
